Chat Moderation

Chat Moderation in MOVEX | Live Shopping

As a chat moderator, you help ensure smooth, professional communication during a live show. Below are all available moderation features and how to use them effectively.


1. Moderator Identity

  • Your profile name and image (from your MOVEX | Live Shopping account) are displayed with every message you send.

  • Recommendation: Use the same name and profile picture for all moderators to represent your company consistently.


  • Type your message in the chat window and press Enter or click the Arrow button to send it.

  • Moderators can send links, while regular viewers cannot post links.

  • Moderator messages are visually distinguished from viewer messages for clarity.


3. Replying to Chat Messages

To reply directly to a comment:

  1. Hover over the message you want to reply to.

  2. Click the three dots next to the comment.

  3. Select Reply.

  4. Type your response and press Enter or click the Arrow button.

Tip: If another moderator is already replying, a message icon will appear next to the comment. This helps avoid duplicate answers and is visible to all moderators.


4. Reply with AI (if enabled)

The Reply with AI feature provides AI-generated response suggestions for faster replies:

  1. Hover over the comment.

  2. Click the three dots → select Reply with AI.

  3. Wait for the AI suggestion to appear.

  4. Review and edit the suggested text if needed.

  5. Press Enter or click the Arrow button to send.

This feature is only available if the AI module is active in your MOVEX account.


5. Pinning Messages

You can pin one message to keep it visible at the bottom of the chat:

  • Pin: Type or select a message → Click three dots → Choose Pin.

  • Unpin: Click the pin icon on the pinned message or pin a different message.


6. Deleting Messages

To maintain a focused and safe conversation, you can delete messages:

  1. Hover over the message.

  2. Click the three dots → Select Delete.

  3. Confirm deletion in the menu at the bottom of your moderation screen.

Deleted messages are permanently removed from the chat and chat logs.


7. Blocking Users

If a user is disruptive, you can block them:

  1. Hover over a message from that user.

  2. Click the three dots → Select Block user.

  3. Confirm in the menu at the bottom of your screen.

  • Once blocked, all their messages are hidden for everyone except the blocked user.

  • Previous messages from blocked users will display with a red icon for moderators.
