Embeddable Snippet for Live Show Highlights on Product Detail Pages (PDP)

As a back-office user, you can now embed a generic snippet code into your product detail pages (PDP) to showcase if a product has been featured in a live show. This feature enhances the shopping experience by directly connecting customers with engaging video content that showcases the products in use, potentially increasing customer confidence and driving sales.

How to Use the Embeddable Snippet

Step-by-Step Guide

1. Copy the Snippet Code in “Show details” once the show has been created

   • Navigate to the "Show details" section in your back-office dashboard.

   • Click on the "Generate Snippet Code" button to obtain the generic embeddable snippet code.

2. Customize the Snippet Code (Optional)

   • The snippet code includes parameters for the width and height of the miniature (thumbnail image or icon).

   • Edit the width and height parameters in the snippet code to fit the design of your PDP.

3. Embed the Snippet Code into PDP

   • Copy the generated snippet code.

   • Insert the snippet code into the HTML of the desired product detail page.

4. Save and Publish

   • Save the changes to the product detail page.

   • Publish the updated PDP to make it live.

How It Works

Live Show Detection

• The system will automatically check if the product on the PDP was featured in any past live shows.

• If the product was featured, a miniature (thumbnail image or icon) will be displayed prominently on the PDP.

Miniature Display

• The miniature will serve as an indicator that the product was highlighted in a live show.

• The design of the miniature will be consistent with the PDP layout and brand guidelines.

• You can customize the size of the miniature by editing the width and height parameters in the snippet code.

Playback Functionality

• Clicking on the miniature will launch a video player.

• The video player will start playback from the exact moment the product was highlighted in the live show.

• The system will retrieve the correct timestamp for when the product was highlighted from the database.

The Embedding Live Show Highlights feature is designed to enhance the shopping experience by providing customers with engaging video content directly on the product detail pages.
